Would a PhD in business Would a PhD in Business
Education allow me to teach
college level business courses
or would this only allow me to
teach how to teach business

If you are looking to teach college you really don't need to get a teaching certificate. The more credentials you have in your field, the more likely you are to be hired. A PhD is almost a sure in for being hired at a university. I have a few professors who don't have teaching certificates. One professor was an archaeologist and they brought her in to teach in her field. There is a method called "publish or perish" that works as well. It's the constant struggle to get published works. It's very important in college and later on. The more published works, the better your credentials. So, as long as you have the credit, good grades, high GPA, sharp writing skills, and the commitment to more time into something, you're all set for being a professor. Check up some research on your own. Google is an amazing tool! Another was a criminal justice course and he was originally a lawyer. I'll find you some sources. Good luck! |

What degrees should I get so I I will be starting to take my
first college classes very
soon to get a bachelors
degree. The school I will be
attending is University of
Phoenix online. They offer
alot of business degrees and a
few elementary education
classes. They also offer a
certificate for early
childhood education. My goal
is to open my own
preschool/daycare someday.
What kind of degrees should I
get? Would you recommend
certificates?

I recommend you take your 90 clock hours in Early Child Development, some community centers and Head Starts offer that course either free, or for a small fee. Call your local Bord of Childcare and get more information on where it is held. If you want to open a childcare center or preschool, I would recommend majoring in Early Childhood Ed., and minoring in Buisness Management. |

Why are our schools in the Lets face it, our schools are
going into show buisness.
Especialy my high school. The
budget of the football team is
going up while the budget for
education is going down. The
football coach is getting paid
three times as much as any of
the teachers are. The new
stadium where the football
team plays only five times a
year is as big as the school
its self. Parents are donating
more money to the athletic
department than they are for
our education. And us students
were forced to change our
scheduals for the sake of
sports. This all makes me feel
angry for being cheated out of
an education everyone deservs.
I don't have anything against
football, i actually play and
enjoy it but this has got to
stop. Our education is being
put on the backburner while
athletics are starting to be a
much bigger priority. Is this
happening where you live and
does it make you mad like me?
