Questions/Answers
How much should I charge toteach a bookbinding class?
Someone asked me to teach a class on bookbinding to college students and told me to name my price. It has just been a hobby and I hadn't considered teaching it. I am self-taught because I could not find a satisfactory method anywhere on the internet. I've heard that classes are limited in availability and that they can cost around $500 to attend. I want to offer a fair rate but, of course, I don't want to undercut myself.
well use the other price as a guide, consider how valuable your ability is to the classes you are being ask teach, also include costs of equipment and the time you will be taking out of your day to teach the class.
How much should I expect topay in the UK for bookbinding?
I've had a bit of an accident with a book! It's quite old, maybe 70 years, about 300 pages and not replaceable due to sentimental value - it was the treasured possession of a relative who doesn't yet know that I accidently ripped off the front (hardback) cover :-( Is this going to be expensive? Any ideas?
