Materials
The most common stretch wrap material is linear low-density polyethylene or LLDPE but other types of polyethylene and PVC can also be used. Many films have about 500% stretch at break but are only stretched to about 100 – 300% in use. Once stretched, the elastic recovery is used to keep the load tight. Saran Wrap to keep stretch I was watching that show on
Discovery Health "Jon and Kate
Plus 8" the other day. I
noticed that Kate, who was
pregnant with sextuplets, had
saran wrap on her stomach. I
have also noticed this with
other Moms to be that are
carrying multiples. Kate also
showed her stomach, it was of
course stretched out to no
end, but NO stretch marks! Is
it just ironic or does this
really work? Just curious....

i agree that the saran wrap is a bad idea......... however! i do have some tips that may help! 1. don't ever ever ever scratch your tummy! that breaks the skin and worsens stretch marks. 2. lotion keeps the skin moist and helps it to stretch a little better. 3. buy a brace that wraps around your back and supports your tummy. not only does this help for ligaments and whatnot, but it helps keep gravity from pulling your tummy further down, which keeps the marks from being so bold! good luck! |

does any one have bad stretch |

I am definately going to watch this question. I want to know also. I have really bad stretch marks and always wanted to know what a body wrap will do for them.. And also what a body wrap will do for cellulite. Thanks for asking that question! |

Standing wraps that stretch vs I ordered these standing
wraps/bandages with my horse's
name on them to use for
shipping or just support with
my pillow wraps. I noticed
this material doesn't really
stretch. It's blue, so it's
not that cotton flannel stuff.
Will these still support the
legs? i know people worry
about bowing tendons, but
these dont have ANY give. What
type of standing wraps do you
use? Ones that stretch or ones
that don't? Why?

if you're not going to be working or anything, should be fine. as long as your horse is still - they'll support. |
