Window blinds?
Hello, We just moved into a new house and my bedroom window is the kind that opens up by sliding it to the right or left. So, There isn't a space or gap at the top where blinds usually go. Is there a way to put blinds on the window by hanging it above the window? If so, where can I get these and what kind?

which way to face the windowblinds?
I live on the 2nd floor of an apartment. There are always people outside my window at night, and I want the most privacy I can get. Which way do I face the blinds? Do I want people to see this --> ( part of the blind or this --> ) part of the blind?
I understand what you are asking. If you close them by turning the skinny know one way, you can see in from above, and if you turn the skinny knob the other way, people can see in from below. It doesn't matter which way you mount them, it only matters which way you turn the knob to close them.
How should the slats on mywindow blinds be turned toblock the most heat?
Trying to block some of the heat coming into my home. I think the slats on the window blinds should be turned so that the edge close to the window goes down, my husband thinks it will block more heat going the other way. Any thoughts?
I think that you are right and that, unless you want to keep adjusting the slats, the angle should be equal to your latitude. For example, if you are in Philadelphia, PA (40°N), the slats should be 40° from the horizontal. That way, you will reflect the most light back to the window. It won't go back thru but it might localize the heat there.
